The Spring Sewing Swap

This was so much fun!

Kestrel Makes announced the Spring Sewing Swap a couple of months ago and I put my name down straight away.  Such a fun idea!

I was paired up with Hannah of Made with Hugs and Kisses.  It’s such a great way to find new blogs!  It turns out Hannah and I really do have quite similar taste, so it was a lot of fun to go shopping with her in mind.  Also, I never realised I needed a dress with a love heart cut out, but clearly I do now.

This is what I ended up sending…

And this is what I received…

Um.  Wow!  That grey fabric is covered in little birds.  It’s really lovely.  And there’s heaps.  Plotting has commenced about what to do with it.

buttons

Buttons.  I’ve just cut out another Kelly skirt, and those black/gold buttons are looking like they could be pretty perfect.

Simplicity 1844.  I haven’t seen this pattern before, but it looks like it would be a really lovely little dress for summer.

And lace!

Thanks so much Hannah, I just love it!
