Foamy :-)

by admin on May 29, 2009

We had some fairly crazy weather lately, with big waves coming in, which left erosion and… foam.

Well, I thought it was cool.

Eighteen now!

by admin on April 30, 2009

So, while I was away I turned eighteen.  Chose to do so in a country where the age for everything is twenty one.  Whatever, it makes sense to me.  We were staying with Nishiie’s for my birthday and they took us out for dinner and surprised me with a cake and stuff.  It was really sweet.

And as far as presents go, I think I want to turn eighteen next year, too.  Thank you everyone!

My 14th birthday party. Surprise, naturally.

So… Japan and Europe!!

by admin on April 30, 2009

In an attempt to stop me going to Schoolies, Mum and Dad offered me a trip to anywhere in the world (with them).  I know, as you do, right?  Well, much to my surprise they came good and Mum and I have just come back from a five and a half week trip that took us through Japan, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy.  Had a great time, but the photos are better than my sad attempts at retelling.  :-)

Mum and I in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.  Love it.  The whole city lights up.

Oopsy Daisy…

by admin on February 21, 2009

Okay.  I lied.

And I have to admit, I probably shan’t update this anymore until after the 17th of April because…I’M GOING AWAY!!!!!!!!

Well, technically Mum and I are going away, but whatever.

So.  March the 10th we fly to Tokyo.  Then we go to Yokosuka and visit (and stay with) my host family from the last time I was in Japan.  Then we fly to London for a few days, hire a car and wander around southern England for a week, catch the Eurostar to Paris and meander through Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy.

Singapore, too, if you count stopovers.  (I do.)

So I am very very excited right about now.  :-)   I’ve been spending my days on the computer (did I mention I got a laptop?!?) looking up accomodation and sightseeing tours in exotic places.

We leave in 17 days.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a little excited.

More when I get home…promise.

(Not that that seems to mean much, but it’s the thought that counts.)

Our grade had our formal on Fri, November 21 up at the Sheraton.  It was SO GOOD!!

There’s something really fun about getting all dressed up like that. In this case, I think I should just put up photos.

Last Days of School – Ever!!

by admin on November 29, 2008

The end of school was a little weird, cause there was the last full day of classes, then a week of shutdown with tests, a couple of days when were just told not to come and then half a day.  It was a bit weird, noone seemed quite sure when we really finished.

But whatever.  I’m putting up photos.

The wonderful Modern History class. [click to continue...]

Excitement

by admin on November 17, 2008

I have finished all my exams for year twelve.

I have a job.  (Yes, it turns out I did get it.)

I have my formal dress.  And shoes.  And makeup and hair figured out.

All I have left with school is one assembly, one graduation rehersal, one graduation and one formal.

Photos will be up shortly.

Day 14 – We’re Here!

by admin on September 22, 2008

Our second day with Perth to Paradise!!

It was so good to get off that bus on Monday night and see everyone – hadn’t seen Em or Ange in ages, so that was good.

Sports Day

by admin on August 20, 2008

They announced the winner of the sports carnival today.

D’bah: LAST.

Oh yeah, we suck. But as Jess said, we’d put too much time into our costumes to run.
