Christmas is coming

by admin on December 18, 2005

Hi again,

I didn’t think it felt like Christmas before, but I’m totally in the Christmas ‘spirit’ now- last night I went to my friends church to see her in ‘A Christmas Carol’ (totally awesome by the way) and I also watched the Woolies carols on TV, you know, the one with all the celebs and with the exception of the Wiggles (welcome back yellow Wiggle) and Santa you have to ask your parents if they actually are famous and they don’t know most of them either.

I just have to say this though- love Nikki Webster’s dress. I’d so never have the guts to wear something like that, but it was really pretty and it looked totally nice on her.

Mum and I have been making all the slices and stuff we make every Christmas, and I have consumed a kind of dumb amount of mixture. We’ve made a few different flavours of icecream too, which are totally awesome.

So, as my parents have now gone Christmas shopping and my brothers have gone down to the cricket nets, I should totally go lie on our brand- spanking new hammock, but it’s scorching outside, so I’m going to settle for writng this, putting on some music and maybe having an icy pole.

I still haven’t made my bed this morning, so I should get onto that, as well as wrapping various Christmas pressies. After Christmas I’ll tell you wqhat I got for my Dad, coz it’s really funny. I’d write it now, but he reads this.

Speaking of Dad, we were just talking about that thing how you grab someones nose and when you pull your hand away, ;you use your thumb so it looks like a nose. Apparently when my bothers (they don’t deserve an “r”) and I were little, we used to totally fall for it and burst into tears. It can be really embarrassing hearing about when you were little.

OK, I’m going to go now,

bye…

I’m afraid that no people outside my immediate family call me Lawsie, and seeing as my other family members are in on the surprise, my handsome and charming dad should start owning up to his name, instead of hiding behind the guise of anon, and get some patience, so he can wait the four days till Christmas.

Love Laura

Dearest Laura

Perhaps your delightful dad doesn’t like surprises and is, perhaps, basing the gift bhe buys you on the one you buy him. i.e. he will check how much you spend and spend no more than this on his gift.

Have you thought of that you brat of a kid?!!

And it’s not 4 days till Christmas. It’s 3. Like, duh!!!

Goodbye.

Your Grandmother

Dearest Grandmother,

I would like to welcome you to the twenty-first century, as your use of the words ‘like’ and ‘duh’ seem to suggest you are joining the under-90 population at last.

Might I recommend ‘The simpsons’ and ‘The OC’, both essential viewing for someone as hip as yourself.

I do however, feel the need to offer more than just congratuations. I believe it necessary for you to know that my dearest parents had, at the time of your writing this comment already spent half a day at a shopping centre (Stocklands Burleigh if my sources are correct) to purchase gifts for both I and your two grandsons.
We, the lattter, have, of course, already recieved assurances as to the existance and security of our gifts from both our darling parents.

As to your comment of ‘Have you thought of that you brat of a kid?!!’ I feel it my duty to ask this question: dearest Grandmother, are you sure you have been taking all of your medication?

It might pay to check with the nice nurses who give you your dinner.

Goodbye,

Love, your grandaughter.
